Overview
"Jet It" is an innovative website designed for booking flights, hotels, and vacation packages, offering an intuitive and engaging user experience. With a simple, responsive design, it caters to a diverse audience, including adventurous travelers, romantic couples, and families seeking memorable vacations.
The platform features a quick selection method where users can choose a mood (romantic, adventure, or relaxation) and a landscape (city, beach, or mountain) to discover popular destinations effortlessly. This streamlined approach simplifies the travel planning process while enhancing user satisfaction.
The Problem(s)
During the development of this website, I encountered several challenges:
Defining User Needs. Understanding the diverse preferences of various target audiences (ex. young adventurers, romantic couples, and families), proved to be a complex task.
Integrating Advanced Features. Incorporating a robust recommendation engine and advanced filtering options pushed my technical skills and required extensive testing.
Balancing Aesthetics and Usability. Creating an attractive and intuitive design that also met usability standards required careful consideration and multiple iterations.
Ensuring Mobile Responsiveness. Making the website fully responsive across various devices added another layer of complexity to the design and development process.
Gathering and Incorporating Feedback. Collecting and integrating feedback from users and stakeholders while maintaining a cohesive vision was difficult and required careful navigation.
